INSTRUCTIONS

These are the steps that must be done BEFORE the team can register into a tournament –

  1. Have a fully registered team with FIRST which includes payment of the team registration fee and 2 coaches.  This is done through the firstinspires.org site
    1. Each coach must have completed the background screening through Sterling Volunteers
    2. Each coach must have accepted and reviewed the YPP trainings and agreed / digitally sign all of the forms
    3. Each coach must have completed the California YPP which includes a Livescan fingerprint AND a Mandated Reporter training – more information
    4. All team members must be added to the FIRST Team Roster – more information
  2. On the mylumi.playingatlearning.org site
    1. Each coach must have their own individual account using the same email address as registered with firstinspires.org
    2. Once logged into mylumi.playingatlearning.org, fill out the tournament jotform  (it is on your team’s info page at the bottom of the page)  – see below for information needed for the jotform
    3. Once all of the above steps are done AND the firstinspires.org data is synced into mylumi,  your team’s status should show in green as “Good”
    4.  Once in good status,  click on Events and you will be prompted to pay via paypal
  3. Also on the mylumi site, once you have paid the tournament fee, on mylumi,  click on Events again and you will be able to register into a tournament
    1. During the November Qualifier season registration, the registration is a preferencing system – please select as many events as you can attend
    2. During the Spring League season registration, registration is a first come, first served model.

 

Information you will need before filling out the team Jotform.

1. For all team members – socio-demographic information (gender, ethnicity, free/reduced lunch, number of years participating in FIRST LEGO League)

2. For all coaches and mentors – first and last names and number of years participating in FIRST LEGO League (and/or information about their participating in other FIRST programs).  The first 2 coaches listed must also match what is in the FIRST team registration database.

3. Name and correct email address for an Adult Volunteer.  This can NOT be either of the 2 screened coaches.
