If you have not been following along with the Google Group messages,  NorCal FIRST LEGO League Challenge Qualifier Tournament preference selection is open in mylumi .

In general, you can set preferences at any time while Preferencing is open…. note that your preferences will be deleted if the Team Status is not “Good”  AND the team has paid their regional registration fee.

Explanation on how Preference Registration works

Have questions about how to get the Overall California YPP Clearance requirements completed –  visit the AB506 webpage for instructions and answers to common questions.   [Most common this week – if I have already been LiveScan fingerprints can I just send that to FIRST :  unfortunately, no]

If you are not interested in attending a Qualifier tournament  (ie you are interested in a Spring League tournament)  – you do not have to worry about this.   Not sure what this means – here is a graphic that explains the difference(s) between our 2 different League Seasons here in NorCal.

Latest News

CHAMPIONSHIPS:   As recently posted on our Announcement googlegroup,   we have 3 upcoming Championships.

  • Jan 19 at Pleasant Grove HS, Elk Grove
  • Mar 2 in San Jose (exact location to be published soon)
  • Mar 9 at Palo Alto HS, Palo Alto

All information about the championships – including how to volunteer –  is posted on the dedicated Championship website – check it out!

SPRING LEAGUE TOURNAMENTS:
We are still looking for hosts and organizers for Spring League events.  More information about what is needed to Host or Organize a Tournament.     We will open registration in January as soon as we have this all sorted.  We have ALOT of teams interested in Spring League which is awesome but that means that we need ALOT of tournaments.

Qualifiers starting this weekend – and Spring League registration will open soon.

Latest News

All of our upcoming qualifiers are open to the public – you are welcome to stop by.  I would recommend prioritizing going to a High School as generally they will have more space for audience to sit, etc.  I would also recommend stopping by after 9:30am or so  (and not over noon lunch break) and before 4:00pm if you want to catch teams planning the Robot Game and talk to them in their pits about their Innovation Project, ask about their robot, and their team experience!

Upcoming Events Calendar

We are still looking for additional Spring League tournament hosts and organizers!   If you know of an affordable (ie no rent) place that can support 12 or more teams, please let us know.  More info about how to organizer a tournament.

We do have a physical location in San Jose – so events can happen there but for those teams particularly in SF, Sac, East Bay – we need your help to find hosts and organizers!
